Martini-Klinik on the UKE campus
The Martini-Klinik is situated in Building O46 (Ost 46) on the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) campus, at Martinistrasse 52 in Hamburg. The friendly porters at the main entrance to the UKE campus will be happy to direct you and provide a handy map if needed.
When you arrive on the campus, walk from the roundabout towards the main entrance to the UKE main building (recognisable by its large projecting roof) and follow the road for around 200 metres.
- For the private outpatient clinic, take a left here and then turn right straight after. You will find Entrance A (Eingang A) on your right after about 50 metres.
- For the prostate cancer consultation sessions, keep going straight ahead and then turn left. You will find Entrance C (Eingang C) on your left after about 75 metres.
The Martini-Klinik is around a 5 minute walk from the main entrance. If you are unable to find a parking space in the underground car park, there are two further underground car parks as shown on the UKE campus map.

Travelling by car
From the A7 autobahn, take the exit for Stellingen and follow directions for Zentrum (city centre) and the district of Eppendorf. Take the B 433, B 447 and B 5 towards Zentrum and Eppendorf. Then follow signs for Universitätsklinikum Eppendorf.
Parking spaces are hard to find near the UKE campus. Large parts of the Eppendorf district are reserved for residents’ parking only, with full-day parking tickets only available for €10 on a few streets. Parking on the campus itself is also very limited. Although it is still not cheap, the most cost-effective option is to park in the underground car park at UKE. From the main entrance to the UKE campus, drive straight ahead and down into the underground car park. You can take the lift from the car park up to the foyer of the main building. Exit the building, turn left and follow the pedestrian directions given above.
Please note that parking is not free. The tariffs are as follows:
- Daytime tariff: 6am to 7pm
Up to 30 minutes: €0.50 / up to 1 hour: €2.50 / each subsequent hour: €2.50
Maximum daily charge: €18
- Overnight tariff: 7pm to 6am
Up to 30 minutes: €0.50 / up to 1 hour: €2.50
Maximum overnight charge: €7
The parking charge for 24 hours is €24.
Travelling by air
Hamburg Airport (HAM) is just 6 km from the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) campus, where the Martini-Klinik is situated. The journey from the airport to the Martini-Klinik takes around 15 minutes by taxi. The public transport connections are less convenient: take the S1 towards Wedel and alight at Ohlsdorf, then take the U1 towards Ohlstedt and alight at Hudtwalckerstrasse, and finally take the 20 or 25 bus and alight at Universitätsklinikum Eppendorf.
Travelling by train
Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is around 6 km away. Depending on traffic, a taxi to the Martini-Klinik usually takes around 20 minutes. If you wish to reach the UKE campus using public transport, take the U1 towards Garstedt/Norderstedt and alight at Kellinghusenstrasse, then take the 25 bus towards Altona and alight at Universitätsklinikum Eppendorf. The bus stop is directly outside the UKE main entrance on Martinistrasse.
